November 2013 - Volunteer Spotlight - David and Judy Faulkner

November 2013 - Faulkner David and Judy Faulkner live in Hardin County, a rural county in northwest Ohio. David is a semi-retired Common Pleas judge and Judy is a retired teacher/church organist.

Their favorite memory happened in 2004, the first year they served as MerleFest volunteers. “It was so fresh and new. Everyone was so welcoming and made us feel like we were part of the gang. We were put right to work!”

David and Judy are volunteer stage crew hands. David favorite entertainers are Pete and Joan Wernick (because of the Jam Camp they host during the week of MerleFest) and Roy Book Binder’s music and stories. Judy enjoys Laura Love and Scythian.

David and Judy enjoy singing and performing with guitar/banjo. They also are active in their local theater. David also enjoys skiing, horseback riding and volunteering at a local service club. Judy enjoys taking her oldest granddaughter shopping, spending time with the younger grandchildren, and taking care of her pets and plants.
