Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra. If imitation is the sincerest for of flattery, these Norwegians will charm with their tasteful renditions of Americana music. Rebekka Nilsson is the vocalist. Netflix series Lost Ollie features their version of “Dream”, the old Everly Brothers hit.
Just two of many superb, under-the-radar groups around these days!
Other suggestions?

I doubt we’ll get Billy Strings, but he would be a fantastic headliner.
I’m hoping for any of the following: Bela Fleck & My Bluegrass Heart, John Hiatt, Shinyribs, Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton, Nathaniel Ratliffe, Jason Carter, Molly Tuttle, Sierra Ferrell, 49 Winchester, Colter Wall, Town Mountain, Strung Like a Horse, the Highwomen, Railroad Earth, David Grisman, Lil Smokies, Henhouse Prowlers, Larry Keel, Songs From the Road Band, just to name a few.. lolMikeandkristyb

Just look up on YouTube the multiple times he’s honored Doc’s music, and there’s nobody better except Doc himself. I know he’s not inexpensive since he’s now selling out arenas, but I’m sure he’d come for free if his handlers would let him. I know he wants to be at Merlefest this year, so please ask him!!! Just checked his tour schedule and he’s free the last weekend in April!

I’d pay extra just to hear the “Lawdog” song by them. Missed it because of a scheduling conflict last time they were at Merlefest. Sierra Ferrell is a hoot!

The Avett Brothers isn’t that caliber and shouldn’t be the only headliner. Is it really too late to get someone like Billy Strings, Morgan Wade, Tyler Childers, Warren Zeiders, etc, etc…. Please tell us you are still working on the lineup!
